Set of four quill-wrapped horse-hair rosettes for a strip
I crafted these rosettes for a strip intended to be mounted on a tanned bison hide. The design plan included beaded rectangles in the Transmontane style, using seed beads, to be placed between the rosettes. Unfortunately, I will not be able to complete this project, so I am offering the rosettes for sale.
This allows you to complete the strip according to your own vision. Below are some images of extant originals for inspiration and to give you a better idea of the final result.
- Quantity: 4 pieces (completely identical).
- Technique: Quill-wrapped horsehair, which is widely considered one of the most difficult and demanding quillwork techniques.
- Materials: Each rosette is edged with antique seed beads in dark bottle green and chalk white.
- Dimensions: The diameter of each rosette is 15.5 cm (approx. 6.1 inches).
